Residential District A

Post by Raul Endymion » Thu Jul 12, 2012 5:09 pm

*A residential hub of the city, for refugees and normal everyday people just trying to make a living. There were shops, markets, restaurants, and residential buildings all over the city, and a monorail that went through all hubs of Uhl Turhaya.*

*Gavin had made his way into the residential district and went to one of the apartment buildings. He was lucky and found a room that rest at the top. It was also fortunate that the apartment complex was of the lower levels of luxury so there wasn't a penthouse at the top.

The apartment was spacious within every room. There was a bit of a hall before entering the dining room, the kitchen having a wrap around bar. The cabinets were oak and the counter tops of a dark gray marble and the appliances were black. Straight out of the dining room stepped down into the living room. The black leather couch was large and had a fancy end table on each side. An oak table rested in front of the couch and had stone backing across the back wall. The back wall had a fireplace with a large holoscreen. To the left was the master bedroom. The bed was a king sized bed with oak night stands and the wall on the right was all glass that lead out to a balcony that overlooked the city. To the left was the master bathroom that had a tiled floor, a large tiled walk in shower, and a jacuzzi big enough for two people. Passed it was a walk in closet. On the right side of the living room was a smaller room that had a glass way that looked out over the city as well. It was empty aside from a few book cases. It was meant as either an office or spare room. The ceilings were trey in every room, the floors were hardwood oak and the walls were a dark gray that lit up well in full lit and set a easy mood when the lights were brought down.

He only had to look around for a moment to see he liked the place well enough. He proceeded back to the main office. He had to get the information to get in touch with Harpy, something he should have gotten from her earlier. Once he got the needed info, he sent her a message about the room, and where it was located. Considering the urgency she had to leave, he didn't expect a response on it soon. For now all he could do was wait.*

::The transaction has been made my friend, a solid choice! Enjoy your new residence!::

-Harpy Lux

The message he got back was brief, and in a text form. But a second message came in indicating his ownership, and documentation of the apartment.
Vanessa Lux: "I want freedom, the freedom to take what I want, and give as much as I want. That's what true freedom is."

Samantha 'Harpy' Lux: "You'll love what I'll let you do to me, until it's my turn."

Jessica 'Jester' Lux: "Sally Wally likes to play, likes to chop things in messy ways, when Sally Wally's had her spree, she chops again out of glee!"

*Receiving the response came much quicker than he thought. With all things in order, he made his way back to his apartment. It was strange having a place like this again. Since his little run in the darkness, he had stayed away, mostly on Naza. With technology nearly non-existent there, building anything was out of the question. With him wandering, he didn't even have a cot. It was always the hard ground. In the end, he was quite happy running into Harpy and getting this place.

Walking through the apartment, he tossed his datapad on the counter. While he waited, he had purchased a new datapad and now had linked it to the apartment. That way, should she try getting a hold of him here, he would get it no mater where he was. He moved through the bedroom and to the balcony as looked out to the city. He let out a sigh as he took in the view, speaking a few soft words.*
"I hope things go well for you three." *The words were meant for the sisters, though no would hear.

He stood there for a few minutes before walking back inside. He felt it would be good to get some rest. He would check in with the other spots at a later time. Once he rested, he would head on with his training. He closed the blinds and stripped from his clothing before laying down in the bed and falling alseep.*

*Gavin woke hours later, feeling refreshed. Nothing was better than a peacefully rested sleep. Sitting up he stretched and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. His movement as he made his way out of the bed was to the window to open the blinds. The sun was starting to rise, giving a beautiful orange glow as the light bounced off the water. It was another day. He smiled for a moment as he thought about it, but it quickly faded. His time for leisure had reached its end. He more training to do, hopefully getting a bit done before Iris felt she was ready to attempt the trial. Once inside, he knew it would be best to stay near-by until she was done.

Moving from the window, he made with way to the bathroom for a shower. As it began to warm up, he looked at himself in the mirror. It was the first time he had seen himself in a while, especially since the recent run through the cavern. He could see the strength growing in his eye, the resolve that resided there. He would need it, especially if it came to making a hard choice. He snapped himself back to reality as his reflection became blurred by the increasing steam. Stepping into the shower, he made it quick, cleaning himself off as letting his muscles relax just a bit.

Once finished and dried off, he moved back into the room and dressed in his pants, boots, and sleeveless black shirt and grabbed his coat. He made the choice to leave the gloves and bracers behind. There would be no need for them. Moving into the dining room, he moved to the counter where his datapad rested. There were no messages. He was slightly disappointed, but wondered why. If they needed him that soon, there was clearly issues. He placed it inside a hard case, strong enough to protect it from the elements. He would need it for what awaited him. Taking a deep breath, he ran a hand through his sandy blonde hair, which he left down like he used to before wisping away as smoke, making his way to Tatooine.*

*Gavin shimmered into his apartment in the kitchen and nearly collapsed on the counter. The toll from bearing the Mustafarian terrain was more than he thought. Moving to the sink, he turned the water on and leaned over, drinking it for a few minutes before taking a few breaths. Setting the crystals down on the counter, he moved on to the bedroom, slipping out of his clothing as he went on to the bathroom to shower.

He was in there for nearly half an hour, nearly passing out from the relaxing warmth. Eventually he had to turn the water cold just to keep himself together long enough to get out. Once he had dried off, he threw on some shorts and a tank top before collapsing in the bed.*

*It had been a couple days since Gavin returned to Manaan and he slept through them all. When he finally woke, it was slow as his mind tried returning to reality. It took nearly ten minutes before he was able to comprehend his surroundings and actually feel out where he was. It was another two minutes before he pulled himself out of the bed and sat on the edge. He rubbed his face, mind still not fully alert. But if there was anything he was quickly aware of was how sore he was.

His body ached from the strain he had been putting it through both mentally and physically. Nothing wanted to respond right and what did was slow. Minutes passed as he sat there, trying to get his body to respond well enough to get out of the bed and move around. He grunted as he finally pushed himself up and began walking out of the bedroom.

As he exited the room and went into the kitchen, he saw he had a message. His only thought was Harpy as none that he was aware of knew he was here. He viewed the message a couple times as his mind processed what was said. He raised his hand to reply, but dropped it as he thought more on it. He had been much thinking while out training. He was certain he wanted to resurrect the Shadows. Doing so meant sacrifice. As much as he would like to find someone, as he knew Jade would, he couldn't unless he found someone who would become a Shadow as well. That was enough to keep him from trying to pursue anything with Harpy, but there was more. He recalled their first conversation and the way she spoke of men, suggested her interest was only in women. He had no care to pursue someone and hope for a change, time would end up being wasted either way.

The message now also held enough clues, the biggest part was the idea of Jester missing him. He had only met her once, just as he did Harpy and to be missed by someone that probably didn't remember or know him wasn't likely. Truth was, he had no intention of contacting her on his own. He had responded because she had sent him a message first. It wasn't of help, only checking in with him. Whether she was trying to stir something was unknown, but he didn't want to press anything further, especially not now. There was too much to be focused on without having someone else to worry about more than anyone else.

He moved from the counter to the fridge and grabbed a thing of water before moving to the living room. He took a seat on the floor and downed nearly half the water. Closing his eyes, he took a breath as he began to meditate. He was in a normal body, sustained through sleep and food. Yet, during his time being sustained by the Force, he had come to understand how to use it to aid him in healing and far quicker recovery than normal. If he was going to keep on with training, he needed it. As he sat there, he began drawing on the Force letting it heal his body and bring him back to one-hundred percent.*

*Hours continued on as the energy swirled around Gavin and tended to him. He wondered, at times, if it was ever possible to become what he once was. The Force was his life force then. Never did he need to worry about eating or sleeping. Whenever he grew weary, all he needed to do was as he was now, meditate and let the Force restore him. But as he thought about it, he didn't know if he really wanted to be that way again. He was so different then, barely the man he was now. If any part of him still held his human side, his Nagarien and Kiffar heritage, it was little. He was the gift or price he paid for returning from death the first time. Within the Shadow Abyss, his body began to fade away, everything that made him slowly slipping from existence. It was with aid from the shadow demon, the Nazarean spirit within him, that he merged with. He came back, but so much about him had changed. His presence, his appearance, his voice, and personality all different. He was able to to regain them with time, at least the essence of who he was, but he would always be different. Even after finally returning to his normal form, he had been forever changed by the time spent. Maybe that was the true reason he felt the way he did about everything, so disconnected and lost.

He pushed the thoughts from his head as he opened his eyes, the meditation coming to an end. He lifted his hand in front of him and tightened it into a fist. He was still far from one-hundred percent, but he was far enough along that he could continue his training without much worry. To get all the way back would take at least a full day.

Standing to his feet, he went back to the bedroom and went through the closet. Sticking with the same leather blue pants he always did, he instead went with a black long sleeve shirt. Going to Hoth would be just as vicious as the other terrain thus far and he would have to take some precautions. Grabbing a thick brown leather jacket, he dressed quickly, also grabbing the datapad and sabers. Once all was in place, he made his way out to the balcony and looked out over the city. In the distance was the Cathedral, where he knew Medrike had returned to. The higher powers of the galaxy were scattering again, something best done. One was enough of a signal, a few together was like telling the enemy to bring everything they had. Things were quiet for the moment, by what he could tell. They needed to stay that way for a little longer until everyone had finished their preparations.

For many, it was training, such as himself, Miko and Iris, Tyra and the Guardians. For others, it was building and ensuring armies were ready, which he hoped the Protectorate were doing. Other sought information, such as Cuuldurach. The pieces of the board were in motion, getting ready for the next curtain to rise. Taking a deep breath, he shimmered away to Hoth.*

*Gavin shimmered into his apartment, tired and beaten from his training. He tossed his trench coat onto the couch before moving towards the bedroom and out to the balcony. From the top floor, he had a clear view of the Cathedral. From here, he could also sense the power coming from it. But it wasn't only Medrike. Kurayami, for what he knew of the man, must have returned at some point since his last visit here. Still, he thought back to the thoughts that came to him on Geonosis. Kurayami was not one he was worried about. His power was obvious, as was his skill in battle. What he wondered was where Medrike stood at the current moment. She had power, but without the Void, did she still have what it took to be seen as a goddess? Was she nothing more than a visual, a being who could calm spirits of those that followed her, but lacked the power to truly fight before them like she did during the battle here? It was a question he would have answered. Not only for his own sake, but for hers. She couldn't remain in hiding forever, especially with what was coming. She couldn't avoid the fight.

He let his own power radiate outwards from where he stood as he stayed out in the breeze for a few minutes more. As tempted as he was to have the answer, he knew, he had to get himself rested and healed. He had promised Samantha and Jester a trip to Naza. It would also be good to simply relax and remember why he fought as he did. With a deep breath he headed inside to the bathroom.

Stripping from his torn, burned, and bloodied clothes, he jumped into the shower, letting the hot water ease his tense muscles and clean the grime from him.He stayed in there until the water ran cold. Stepping out, he look a moment to look in the mirror, taking note of his wounds. For the most part, the wounds where shallow and had since stopped bleeding. The biggest part were the bruises that would heal easily enough. First splashing some cold water to his face, he then took a drink before moving to his room and removed some sleeping shorts. With a final glance out his window to the Cathedral, he closed the blinds and headed off to bed.*

*Gavin woke from his sleep after nearly a day. Stretching out, he made his way to the shower to clean himself off. The time in the shower was short as he knew he had to get ready and finish setting things up with the sisters. Dressing in his normal attire, Gavin made his way to the kitchen and grabbed his datapad, seeing the message from Samantha, from his first message. From there, he sent another message and went on with getting things set up with her.

While tending to the messages with Samantha, He reached out first to Kayden about bringing Erith with him and spending the day there and enjoy the final festivities. After that, he contacted Tyra and Jasen and informed them of the same. Once all was set, he went back to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, checking on his wounds. They were healing well, but he began using the Force to heal them up the rest of the way before heading out.*

*Gavin shimmered into an ally close to where his apartment sat. He avoided shimmering there due to the fact he knew he was being watched. No doubt after the encounter on Coruscant, the Templars were keeping locations such as these under watch should he ever return. They might not take any action, but they would know each and every time he came to any place related to those high up in the Dynasty ranks. It was also the reason he had his robes made and altered so that none could pick up his presence, especially when he came and went so suddenly. And for what he was about to do, he knew it would send the Templars into a frenzy. Forevermore would he be considered an enemy of the Dynasty unless said otherwise. But there was too much at stake to plays things so safely.

He reached out and began to scan the city. It took no time to find Medrike, her power easy to find. He sensed fluctuations like that of a battle and figured she was in the midst of training. Not sensing another of equal power, he doubted she was truly getting the training she needed. Then again, perhaps after losing the void, it was all she was capable of. People held her in such high regard and viewed her as a goddess. But how well could she play that part now with the Machines and the Kothryn seeking to reach the peak of their powers once again, and worse, following a different path that what was once done. Gavin had to know, had to see it for himself. Was she truly able to be that goddess now? And if she was, was she at that level? He would have his answers, especially if Samantha and Jester believed in her as they did. He would be the one to test the limits of a so called god and make sure she was deserving of the title.

Standing still in the alley, he began to alter his presence within the Shadows. In this moment, one of the scarier parts of the Shadows power would be revealed as the Force and Shadows were two different energies, just like the Void was different from them. Due to this, his presence in the Force never changed, thus would never be felt from under his cloak. The Shadows, however, began to grow and reach out to Medrike. Normally, doing so would mean nothing as the Shadows were nearly impossible to feel, hence why very few ever followed that path. It was also the reason why anyone could become a Shadow as it was a power that had to be found and obtained. But when he passed his power to Medrike during the battle with the Machines, his power as a Shadow was also given to her. In this, he knew she would feel it, though it would be different and uncertain to her. But he had to pull her away from the Cathedral, away from the masses. Whether she'd bring guards or not was uncertain, but he was sure a Templar would follow. He'd have to be quick in his movements, though he couldn't just tell her to come alone. She wouldn't be fool enough for that.

With that, all he did was radiate his Shadow presence to her. As she'd feel it, it would feel as a calling something that wanted her to follow. As he did, he let the Shadows envelop his body, turning him into shadows, hiding him from view.*

<<Your shadow is as inviting as a lovers sheer veil cloak on her wedding night, Gavin. What is it you seek in the capital of my power and embrace? Are you here seeking my approval of you and Samantha? I heard about their disappearance, one would wonder if the little firecracker of a sister decided to warm her heart to you as Vanessa did with the Mandalore. You saved me. I now carry your shadows within me, and am a nexus of the force. The Great Bearer of Pains, now marked...by a different power. No longer am I a conduit for the abyss, casting those into the void that were both evil and those that served me. I serve the defenseless, I feel their pains, I hear their screams, I weep with their sorrows, it is a raking of nails on a chalkboard. I cannot leave my chambers, not when the lord of machines has returned, and the monsters of ten thousand hates skitter and chatter across the galaxy. Nor can I be seen in the public eye. I am a light now, not a dragon.>> Her voice was as light as a feather, but as mighty as a hurricane with her intent. It was serenity, and might, love and passion, power, and peace. The air in the room felt calm, as if it was basking in the warm glow of the rising sun.

*Nothing came in response to Medrike's words. In the end, all it could said was Medrike was assuming she knew what the presence was and who it belonged to. But there was nothing to give her certainty. For never have used the Shadows before nor understood what they felt like, she wouldn't have known it to be the presence of the Shadows. Even more, without his Force presence, there was far less to think it was him.

In the end, all it was was nothing more than a strange feeling, one that called softly to her. It was faintly familiar, yet easily enough not to allow it to be dismissed.

If she wouldn't come, that did little to deter Gavin from what he intended to do. She didn't have to move at all. With a little time and focus, he could shimmer her away from where she was. In the end, he'd become a greater criminal to them, but such would be the life of a Shadow. Hidden within the shadows of the alley, he stayed hidden, narrowing his focus upon her presence until her had a complete lock on her position and power.*

*Gavin listened on as Medrike spoke. It was clear now she would not come to him. That was fine. As he focused upon her presence, listened to the shadows that surrounded the cathedral, resided within her chamber, he could begin to make out her placement inside. Once he was fully set on her presence, he could shimmer her away from where he stood. But that was the difference between her and moving around compared to his weapons and even someone who stood still waiting for him. In that case, they were still and he knew their position. This required great focus, time, and close proximity. No doubt he was on the edge of that range.

It was then as he focused he a thought. His plan to shimmer her away whether by touch or distance would remain, but should he come to her and display his power and how incapable the Templars could really be? No doubt taking her from a distance or up close would certainly put the chip on them. While he'd be completely unknown until he removed his hood, either option would truly make him a full criminal in the face of the Dynasty, a close steal painting a bigger target. As the thoughts turned in his head, he still focused upon her.*

*Gavin smirked from under his hood as he felt her presence rise. No doubt she had caught on that he was searching her out. He saw this a s a challenge, one that he would accept. In fact, this act was the deciding factor in going to her.

With that, he pulled back his focus, no longer searching her out. With it, the Shadow presence he increased and resonated for her to feel retreated as well. Without the training to feel the Shadows, she would lose him now. It was the only reason he had increased in in the first place. Becoming invisible to the senses once again, he progressed through the alleys, covered in shadow the whole way to keep himself from being seen.*

Moving into the city, Blaze quickly located a place to stay for a few days as she contemplated her next move. Finding a place that seemed more than adequate, she entered and purchased herself a room at the highest floor she could. She said little to nothing, only what needed to be said to get the room and made her way up to the turbolift with her things.

Upon reaching her room, she let her things fall to the ground as she moved to the bed and fell back against it, deciding to take a nap for a little while before doing anything else.
