I never had a doubt as to Vanessa's capabilities as a leader, though I am glad to see that the city has been well.

*Kurayami took a few moments to look around, moreso to re-orient himself with how the place was set up. Kurayami let her go and change, not that he had much choice in the matter as he was busy making sure that the fighters as ordered were being properly handled. Not to mention the prototype and the armors would be arriving soon. The sudden display of power from Medrike was one that Kurayami wondered about, it was a seeming flash of anger, though it was short lived. He wondered if his anger had subliminally influenced her when he got the unexpected news about the Project Havoc fighters. It seemed strange to him, but he knew that a bond as deep as his and Medrike's sometimes had unintended consequences.

He made no comment as she addressed the Templar and gave her orders. She was quick to sit down and begin brushing her hair afterwards, all traces of the previous anger gone. He simply nodded at her last statement.*

Yes we do. The Ravana's Fury is enroute. The armor I designed for us is soon to be delivered. This is far more than meets the eye. It will be delivered by a standard LAAT/s gunship with a fighter escort. Once here it will be set down by the altar in unmarked crates to be brought to us immediately...

*As soon as he was done speaking these words he received a ping that the craft was landing outside.*

It seems they have impeccable timing. The armor has just been dropped off and is being brought in now.

*A few minutes later a familiar Chiss was seen bringing in two hover crates, both unmarked as Kurayami had said, she simply gave a small smile to both he and Medrike before turning and leaving.*

Now to see how well they did on this...

*He walked over to the crate closest to him and held his datapad up to the crate. It was a minute while all the information was verified but as soon as it was there was a small hiss as the crates opened. The helmet was recognizable as having influences gleaned from his old Mandalorian set, however the coloration was different in this suit. It was deep gray coloration and the trim was platinum and aurodium. The was no visor as such, there were instead two bright golden 'eyes', the platinum demon skull inlay still present. On the back was a pair of skeletal looking wings, these had a miniaturized cryogenic generator that supplied power for the suits HUD, shielding, semi-active stealth alloy, and ion jets allowing for enhanced movement on the battlefield.

The composition was of composite layered plates of beskar, impervium, and ultrachrome, with the semi-active stealth alloy on the surface of the armor. In addition there was an advanced shielding generator included to provide even more resistance to attack. He removed the helmet he had on currrently and threw it to the side before placing the new helm on his head in its place. The fit was perfect for him, he pulled out the envirosuit that was inside, phrik armorweave, able to be sealed environmentally.

Placing it back he stepped over to the other crate and allowed it too open before going and taking a quick shower. Once he stepped out, he dressed in the new armor. It was not overly heavy, but that could be corrected with some minor imbuement with the Force, he would do that soon to help the weight feel even less. This was what the Archangel should have looked like long ago. Now he had a suit befitting his rank within the Protectorate. There was still the matter of the prototype fighter to work out, but that would be taken care of in due time.*

Hope you enjoy the new armor, cyar'ika. It will serve you well in the coming times.

When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself, first as a dark demon
As a demon it uses it's power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies
However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns...
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through dark skies
Fear and death trail its shadow beneath
Until men united wield a hallowed sabre
In final reckoning, the beast is slain
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man
His own blood and madness soon cover the earth
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.

Medrike looked over to her crate and her armor, she smiled at it. The armor was gold and shined to catch all light. She used the force and put it all together, and then stepped into the armor. It came online in an instant and closed around her. The armor was indeed polished to a shine. It was gold plated with purple trim, like the archangel armor of old, that was still on display by the altar. It was certainly a regal armor pattern, and beautifully constructed to fit her slender form. Her armor was colored differently, but it was the same armor that Kurayami wore. She looked to Kurayami and giggled, ::I like it!::

*Kurayami watched as Medrike inspected the armor herself. They had given hers a much more regal flair, which he supposed was fitting given her station. As soon as the armor was online, Kurayami was running diagnostics on all the systems as well as seeing what kinds of built in weapons this carried. The gauntlet vibroblades had a plasma and ionic induction system, as well as Force blade emitters above and below them. It seemed as though the wings had hardpoints on which to mount further weapons. Those could be determined later. The gauntlets also had modular hardpoints as well as the incorporated holsters for his sabers. Upon hearing that Medrike was pleased with how the design had turned out, he sighed in relief.*

Well it is good to hear that you like the armor, I would hate to have to have sent yours back for redesigning. Apparently they managed to get your measurements correct as well. Once the armor is Force imbued, it will feel like a second skin to you. So I would suggest wearing it consistently for awhile as it will naturally absorb your force energy, as mine will do with my energy and it will greatly reduce the weight that you feel without needing to utilize the light or dark side to get the result.

::I am surprised you didn't exaggerate my bust when you made the order...you must have been sober. You certainly know your way around me! The armor is stunning. I cannot wait to wear it in battle against the machines and whatever enemies we face together. The Great Mother, and the Father of Balance...with the armies of the Dynasty from the Templars to the Armor of Anguish, our forces are mighty. I think you outdid yourself on my little gift, but I think I'd rather keep the ceiling intact and give you gratitude a different way, for the time being. Is my bonded force nexus hungry? Or should we figure out what other plans need doing while you are still here?:: She asked.

::Why would I exaggerate your measurements for armor? I made Leyana's armor a touch too small since it was supposed to be a surprise. Got lectured about proper fit. So i figured best to get measurements for garments before making armor. It has helped quite a bit since then. And yes I was sober, considering the night before led to the destruction of a good chunk of Iris' roof over her room. Of all those in the galaxy I should know my way around you just fine, if I didn't I'd be confused as to why. I am glad that you are pleased with how everything looks. I told my team to incorporate the colors of the Dynasty, but to make sure you stood out on the field of battle.

The armor plates are the best materials I had access to, and the shielding will take far more than energy weapons to take it down. Oh sure, a good hit from something large enough will still throw us back, but we will have no issue getting back up, ion jets for easier movement, and a stealth coating that will activate when electricity is applied. As you may note, other than vibroblades and Machine Empire Force blades, the suit has no armament. That was completely intentional, it allows you to swap out weapons as needed so that you can adapt to the battlefield or simply set it up according to your preferred style.

I haven't outdone myself I don't think, simply delivered exactly what I promised you on Ossus. Yes, we should try to keep the roof intact. Figuring out where to go next may not be a bad idea. I know that Miko told me I should drop by the Jedi Temple when possible, so we should try to do that soon, not sure what the purpose of the visit is but we shall see I suppose. Other than that I'm not sure of anything we need to do in preparation.::

His answer was matter of fact and genuinely curious as to what the meeting with the Jedi was for, admittedly he had no idea what else really could be done to prepare as of right now.

A message came in at the moment before Medrike could answer him, ::Queen Vanessa has taken it upon herself to visit Coruscant to seek an audience with the new Grandmaster, on account that Ambassador Samantha Lux is absent from the Embassy. Also, we have detected a small Machine Empire fleet hyperspace jumps through the western outer rim, the latest one passing through the inner rim. They seemed to have passed through and are moving on to the core worlds according to the estimated flight path. It is possible that Queen Vanessa is also on the same route as the Machine Empire warships.::

"Well...points for the Queen for taking Initiative... Send a shrike and two strife cruisers to offer support, just in case, hopefully nothing significant will come of it," Medrike turned to Kurayami, "Seems we're not the only ones who are busy. I would send a Templar to fetch Samantha, but they are rather irreplaceable in such circumstances."

*Kurayami listened quietly to the message that was sent. He nodded at the information provided, well that meant he likely didn't HAVE to visit this time, but it would still be a good showing of intent to do so, plus he could go as the representative of the Bloodborn Ascendancy if he had to. Why Samanthat wasn't there was anyone's guess, but not really his business or concern. The news of the small Machine Empire fleet got his attention quite easily. Not something entirely unexpected at this point. If it were small it was unlikely to be readying for assault or a planetary raid. Sounded like a scout fleet, an intel gathering mission.*

::Oh definitely points for initiative. I would have let her know I was going to visit anyways, but really didn't want to possibly interrupt her and Raith. That would have been like Miko walking in the other night, which thankfully did not happen. Sendig a small task force as back up in case things get nasty is not a bad move by any means. As for Samantha, I doubt if she is in any sort of dangerous situation. I agree that in a situation such as where we find ourselves right now they are rather irreplaceable. Not many Voidwalkers around that I know of any longer. If any.::

She stepped out of the armor and brushed off her shoulders, she had some grease smudges on her dress from what she could see, "It seems like all paths lead to the Jedi Temple like a silk road, I am glad the leaders of our allied factions are taking notice of this new Jedi and her movements. Hopefully a mutual understanding can be reached. If I heard correctly she was once a test subject of the templars. I do hope that will not put strain on relations. Even with her past, as Grandmaster she should be able to see the bigger picture. All eyes are on her, and me, well, Vanessa, not me."

She smiled a bit when Kurayami mentioned the templars, "Yes, they are the last void walkers, but they are bound to me by pact, regardless if the void left or not, they have their duty until I fall, or if the void takes me again. There are still some questionable sects within the Dynasty, but the templars are the less known. That is what makes them deadly, and as you know, they are my last line of defense, even before you."

Kurayami recieved a package of encrypted files on his datapad from Raith Dorn, and a message.

[[::Kurayami, I'm sending you a packet of files and videos that the grand master tatiana sent me, can you take a look at them. I have no idea who this...Clan Var-Maren is, and I need some advice. She said she sent them to me after she saw them in backlogged entries and reports from eight years ago. It could be important, or it could be nothing. If that clan means anything to you, contact me at once.::]]

*Kurayami nodded, he had grown used to the Templars and their role within the hierarchy.*

::Yes, we will soon be heading there ourselves. Or at least I will go, you need not make the journey unless you wish to. As long as she is open minded to what the Dynasty does and understands that our goals are not the opposite of theirs, then we should be fine. If she was once a test subject that lends an odd connection to the Dynasty, and likely didn't give her the highest of opinions of our modus operandi. If she is truly a Jedi adherent then she will use that experience to strengthen her resolve to protect others.::

*His eyes narrowed at her certainty that they were the last of the Voidwalkers. It wasn't that he doubted her as much as the fact that the Walkers were good at staying hidden due to very few knowing what they should look for in terms of tracking or finding a Walker. These were the last known Walkers, of that Kurayami was confident. One could easily avoid detection though, there was always the possibility...*

::I am confident that they are the last known Walkers to exist. There is a problem there though that comes with a major caveat...there could easily be others out there who have remained far from places where the Force gathers. Such would allow them to escape detection easily. Though the Void id insatiable in the hunger it causes, I have met many cunning Walkers in my time. They may have disposable minions who simply go reported as being insane, or turned into some urban legend. I would be more than happy if I am wrong, but I would not be too shocked to find at least another out in the far reaches of Wild Space.::

*He was pausing in his thoughts when a ping alerted him to an encrypted transmission. Checking it quickly he saw it was from Raith. Opening the files and videos revealed many things about a clan with a long history of utilizing shadow operatives and having a major feud with any who had the slightest ties to Deathwatch...Clan Var-Maren. He smirked to himself, he knew of Var-Maren and how they worked. Opening an encrypted channel that would be routed through multiple points to keep the origin from being tracked, he sent a reply.*

[[::Raith, I hope that all is well with you and your growing family, as well as the Mandalorians and Ironclad. Now as to Clan Var-Maren. Yes, I know of them and their incessant hatred of Deathwatch, Kel, the patriarch of the Clan was a Jedi Shadow long ago, and his was the clan that was raised to replace Bloodborn after I re-privatized all assets and dissolved the Clan itself. However, during my tenure there were a few failed assassination attempts, including one at the Council of Knowledge, the reason I handed over the title to you. Those involved were tied to Clan Var-Maren shortly before the transfer of power took place. You may be in danger yourself given your past. I have no illusion that they would try to kill me again on sight as I eventually led the Deathwatch resurgence and exiled their Clan, striking them from the roster for their attempts to infiltrate all other clans and eliminate Deathwatch supporters.

For safety purposes and to ensure your health as well as Vanessa's and your child's, as a preemptive measure I would advise you to shut down their access to any Mandalorian controlled world or airspace without heavy security in place, as well as making sure they have no weapons on them. Keep some ysalamir around as well, all of them were Force users, or at least a great majority were. Let Vanesaa know as well and have her pass on such information to the Jedi Grandmaster. What the Jedi decide is up to them, but I would advise placing the same restrictions on Dynasty planets as well. Best of luck, vod.::]]

[[::I will take precautions, I am not pleased that Clan Dorn is or may be under crosshairs. I am not worried, be it machines, bugs, or clans, Dorn will endure. It is what we do. I also discovered I have Templar protection now. Quite the interesting dollip of luxury. Apparently two DRK droids aren't sufficent. I will see what I can do in regards to increasing security, the name Clan Var Maren doesn't mean a damn to me, but apparently I mean a damn to someone with a grudge. I am sure the Dynasty and the other allied factions won't let a simple civil dispute come between the mandalorians and the fall of the Machine Empire. We need everyone on board. Failure is extremely high. I already have a secondary battle droid army on standby for Raxus. I expect to run out of mandalorians before running out of droids. More to the point, my guess is whoever this clone is will take his time before coming to me directly. I don't plan on snuffing out Var Marens, I was not part of that crusade, and still not interested, but I will make sure to keep eyes on all Mandalorian worlds. If they decide to move on me, I'll find them. I am sure you'll know what to do if they come to Manaan. Vanessa is headed to coruscant and I have Athran here with me on Geonosis. You should come see this little wrench hound. He'll be a fine Dorn.::]] Raith replied across the encrypted feed.

[[::I am glad that you will at least take some precautions. My recommendations were made simply out of what I knew of the clan and their former leader, you are the head of the Clans now, and I passed the responsibility on to you as I knew you could bring the unity that I could not. It certainly doesn't bring me any measure of joy to have to tell you such news, especially with your newborn son in the picture. I have no doubt that you will raise him well or that he will make a fine addition to Clan Dorn once he passes his verd'goten.

The Templars follow all those with a high rank within the Dynasty, and given that you are the husband of Queen Vanessa it is only fitting that they would keep watch on you. I could care less about what Var Maren does as long as it does not threaten the progress we have made towards being able to present a united front against the machines and the Sith. I have had a war machine building for many years, they are ready to deploy at a moments notice, everything from drone fighters to clone soldiers, even a couple experimental walkers.

The Var Marens coming to Manaan would be a rather large misstep, but for now I am getting ready to make a trip to Coruscant myself as I did mention that i would make an appearance to let the Jedi know that Vanessa is not acting without permission from the Goddess herself. Hell, even Medrike may join me. I Will make sure to visit you and yours as well. Or perhaps we shall have to plan a trip to Nam Chorios before Raxus goes down.::]]

*Kurayami nodded as he cut the feed and took a breath as he let h is mind wander a few moments, another dark presence was making waves in the Western Outer Rim, and yet there was a beacon of calm, perhaps a Jedi on Yavin IV. What the person hoped to gain from Yavin was anyone's guess, but the presence had been strong and unmoving for sometime now. As he withdrew from his short meditation he looked over to Medrike as he tried to decide when he was going to leave for Corsucant.*

::Cyar'ika, would you care to take a trip to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant as well? It is not that I feel Vanessa would be unable to make our intentions known to the Jedi without issue, but for us to go and let the Jedi know that we are aware of her making such a trip and that we are also in agreeance that they will be needed in the coming conflicts, it looks good for all involved. As well the Grandmaster could get reassurance from the source that we have no intent on trying to bring the Jedi in as a branch of the Dynasty and that we would allow them to deicde how they would be able to best assist us in the times ahead.Either way I already said I would go and I will, but I felt that I should at least extend the invitation to you as well.::

"That task is your alone, you are the archangel, and the bridge of communication between myself, and the galaxy. I will stay here, I could use some time to myself. I doubt that I will have to worry about another shadow infiltration. I'll be fine my love. Go and represent us, as Vanessa is. Besides, I'll be here when you get back, what's a little time between a dragon and her mate hmm? It will be good for the new grand master to know our intentions. I hope there will be no animosity between us, as I am acutely aware she was once one of our chosen to replace our lead templar. Getting replacements from our own methods is extremely difficult as you well know. Jimmy's and all..." Medrike climbed back out of her armor and ran a hand through her hair as she sat back on the bed.

::As you wish, my love. I was simply making sure that you had the chance to address any concerns in person if need be. After Ossus I am not surprised that you need some time alone to recuperate. I had no doubt that you would be here upon my return, and so I shall go make preparations and make my way to Coruscant. You know I am easy to reach should there be anything you think of that you wish for me to bring up during the meeting. As for the matter of time, in our case, nothing in the least. I can see little reason for there to be any animosity between us and the new Grandmaster, even if she was one of those chosen to replace a lead Templar. Yes, replacements are not easy to come by, but I know that when a new Jimmy is available they will do what is needed to bring him into their fold.::

*He removed his helmet and walked over to where Medrike had seated herself on the bed, leaning over to kiss her forehead before he made his way from the room and into the underground bay where his Avadon shuttle was housed. He boarded the ship and began powering up the systems and running the preflight checks, sliding his helmet back in place as he sat down and synced his HUD with the flight computer. Once that was done he let the lift take his craft to the surface where he lifted off, sending a quick transmission that the 'Amaranth' was leaving the system. Once out of the atmosphere, he punched in the coordinates for Coruscant and made the jump to hyperspace. It was time to see just how the Jedi would react to an offer of mutual protection for the time being.*

Medrike had been busy organizing the divisions and fleets of the Dynasty. She was once a general under the Void Walkers, she knew more than her share of combat expertise, and she had seen Raxus and its defenses. She knew just how layered they were, but there were also the other containment units and force generators scattered across the galaxy that were also an issue. They would have to be dealt with first before attacking Raxus head on, luckily Kurayami had a counter to the generators with his fireships.

Casualties were going to be high, especially when raxus was directly assaulted. The entire planet was networked into one giant defense grid. Every derelict ship there with turrets still working was going to be used against them. It was a fortress of guns and droids the likes of which would put the death star and starkiller base to shame. Still they would find a way to destroy it. They had to, as did others who faced impossible odds once. This time though they had ten to one odds in favor against their opponent, and near five or six to one odds against them in fleet capability, but she was relieved that all the generals knew that the odds meant nothing against an enemy that could mass produce instantaneously. No one was overconfident, in fact, the only one who was sure of victory was Kurayami. That in of itself was a relief to Medrike. She did not get much of a chance to ever show her colors in combat, but she was a capable strategist. She brought up a map of the helix containment unit on Raxus and tried to pinpoint decent landing zones. They'd have to hit them in force, in groups of ten thousand, and in waves of a thousand strong each. Casualties would be high, and she was sure she'd lose key people. No one would truly be safe.

The templars were temporarily summoned, all nine of them, with templar five's body resting on the block of marble deep within the catacombs of the cathedral, away from Medrike and most prying eyes. Shas'o did not have any sort of amused look on his face as he looked to the corpse of one of his fallen. Such a thing was not supposed to happen. They were the elite of the elite of the protectorate, meant to withstand armies, and even the worst of all enemies. More importantly, they were arguably the last remnants of the void walkers, having made the pact that binds ages ago. This should not have happened, not against a sith, and certainly not against a droid, no matter the origins. If what Gavin had to say was true, then the true generals of the machine empire, were not just ordinary droids, but also Celestial artifacts. Though the templars would be fools to not have a contingency plan for such things. They were the last line of defense. Shas'o simply nodded to the others, and they all knelt in position around the altar, and began chanting and focusing in on the powers of the void. Slowly a rippling effect enveloped five, and she disappeared into the depths of a rift, only to come back out a few moments later refreshed and renewed. It was only moments in real time, it could have been a thousand lifetimes within the void for her. But she scooted off the table, and the other nine rose. Shas'o had a robe around his arm, but drew his blade and lashed her across the back, she did not wince or whimper, "We do not die, we do not know pain, we do not know fear, we only know the benevolent mother. We protect her, until she relinquishes us," he threw the robe at her and she put it on casually and bowed to him. Shas'o turned to face the rest of the templars as a cross bearer came in, having been summoned. they all knelt before the bearer, and the same rippling effect took place, and the rift to the void appeared below the feet of the trooper. He screamed and fell into the rift, and Shas'o simply crossed his arm over his chest in respect for the offering given. The ritual took about an hour to complete, the templars dispersed back to their stations across the galaxy.

Upon the rooftops of the buildings surrounding the marketplace, a sudden puff of smoke came from out of nowhere, and with it, the sudden arrival of another Xynmerac. Night covered the city, allowing it to move swiftly from roof to roof, moving closer towards the area the Cathedral was. With the speed in which it moved, it was barely a minute as it stepped up to the edge, staring down at the ground below. Already there was movement as the marketplace began to set up from the new day. The sun was creeping over the horizon now, making its arrival most timely. Another minute or two passed before the light touched the creature and it became stone, ready to observe the happenings of Bright Star as it remained fixed in its position.

It was not concern with being detected, only those of the highest skills of sensory abilities would remotely feel anything from them. And even if they did, the make up of their presence was not like any of the powers that existed. It would feel like a strange fluctuation, yet the way it distorted the area around it, it was near impossible to pinpoint it, at least not without taking some time to work through the sensations. But that was only when it was active. As a stone, any presence it held faded. Along with it, reality would shift around it in a sense. Perception would be altered, making people not even notice it, and those who had far greater capabilities to see through such facades, their minds would chose to not see it. Despite being able to be in the marketplace without issue, it chose to remain upon the rooftops, eliminating any chance for any to accidently find it, especially when the sun went down again. For now though, all it would do is watch.

As night fell once again, the stone appearance of the Xynmerac faded away to give the full detail of the creature beneath. It had stayed quietly above the area in front of the Cathedral, watching the comings and goings of those in the area. Life seemed to continue on as any other place did. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as it watched, the sight crossing over into the minds of the other Xynmerac, including their leader, and thus Kelam.

With night upon them, it could move about and try to see if they was activity elsewhere. Deciding to get a closer look, it moved down the sides of the building with swift motions before finally reaching the ground. Finding amongst the shadows, it moved around, closer to the Cathedral seeing things from all angles before it would proceed elsewhere into the city. It had the night to explore before day arrived again. It would wait another day before departing back to Dathomir.

"So the Embassy on Coruscant is on lockdown because a General of the Machine Empire was preying on Jester?" Medrike asked as she paced with suave contemplation in front of Shas'O. Her white dress fluttered with the strides she took around the galaxy map. Then she stopped and brought up the military screen to look at the overview of the Dynasty and the positions. Her armies were at peak levels again and were already moving in on new territories acquired by those systems coming into the fold.

"Yes Mother, attacked her in her sleep, and killed one of the templars, temporarily," Shas'o answered and looked at the map as well.

"So Iron Hail is awakening his generals? Must have been Nightmare, but with all our forces in the field, it's astounding to me how they've slipped past our nets. We've had no reports of skirmishes, but we are seeing increased activity in certain sectors. They're certainly planning for the long haul. Kurayami and the others should be informed, these generals act independently and function differently from one another. If I recall there were at least five of them. Phaeton, Nightmare, Nightshade, Anaxes, and Reaper. I used to be one before the dragon left me, they are not to be trifled with. They are powerful in their own right. But if they're in play, that means that he's setting up for his next phase, gaining control of old containment sites," Medrike mused.

"So what do we do?" Shas'o asked.

"We let him build his web for now, and we'll be partially surrounded for awhile if the reports are true, but we would be better to wait before going on the offensive. We should mark the sites, and prepare accordingly," Medrike nodded.

"That doesn't seem wise, but you know him better than anyone," Shas'o wrinkled his forehead in slight doubt, it wasn't typical for him to disagree with anything the great mother said.

"I sense your trouble over this, do not worry, all will be right in the end, now go," Medrike gestured for him to leave.

"Of course," and Shas'o rippled away.

Medrike spent most of her days in meditation, hearing the prayers of a whole galaxy. Some prayers were stronger than others, some were malicious in nature. It wasn't a clamor to her, it was all a song, a great, powerful, moving song. It was the heart of the galaxy, and her children calling out to her, in adoration, faith, loss, anger, and fear. She focused where the force lead her to, and made notes on a pad for coordinates for the mighty fleets of the dynasty. She sent them through the proper channels, as to remain anonymous. The galaxy could not be allowed to see her face, and know of her existence. Only deem her a whisper in the wind, a simple idea that the Dynasty held dear. The soldiers of the Dynasty were more important to see, they were the embodiment of her own ideas and heart.

*A brilliant flash of a ship reverting from hyperspace was followed shortly after by the reemergence of a presence that had been dormant for quite sometime. Even if the part about being dormant wasn't entirely true. Kurayami had been hard at work, and yet he had made no attempt to make his actions known. Why the secrecy was something that few knew, but could be guessed at. With the rising chaos in the galaxy since Nereus had harbored the spirit of Iron Hail, Kurayami and the Dynasty, along with the Shadows, Mandalorians, a few known Jedi, and even the Therian Empire to an extent, had all banded together to bring the fight to the Machine Empire again. It had been during the forging of ties with the Grandmaster of the Jedi at this time, Tatiana, that Kurayami had pulled a surprising disappearing act. Leaving the meeting with no real explanation and only a single request that the logs of his departure be removed. The reasoning behind the last request was odd, but they had been amiable enough. Soon after leaving the hangar his ship had disappeared from all scanners, and though the ships course seemed to carry it to the Inner RIm, he had not been spotted anywhere near any systems therein.

The jump had been a false flag, leading away from his intended target. Malachor V was his retreat from the galaxy when needed. Much had happened within its storied halls, and the planet was not nearly as dead as it seemed. Bloodborn Enterprises maintained its entire Black Ops division beneath the ancient Sith stronghold, utilizing multiple sensor blocking technologies to keep from being detected. His original purpose had been to check on the progress of a weapon that had the potential to cripple the Machine Empire when employed in sufficient numbers. To further distract for these endeavors, there had been purpose built small fleets of the same composition and crewed by only the smallest of skeleton crews aided by automated systems, AI, and maintenance droids. These 'ghost fleets' were set to make jumps to predetermined resupply points arriving shortly ofter one another at different places to provide a source for the rumors of these mysterious vessels. It would also give the Machines something to keep an eye on as well. Anything to keep the recon teams away. And these fleets were not even close to the weapon in development. Those were purpose built ramships, with smaller isotope 5 reactors surrounding the main hypermatter annhilation reactors. In turn there were many tons of baradium and other high explosives packed near the front, so that once the reaction started it would be powerful enough to decimate anything it hit. This was a war of attrition right now, but Kurayami knew that the Machines could not be allowed to get the upper hand again. These were a means to an end and were to be finished and deployed during the final push against Iron Hail and his forces. A singular strike meant to cripple the Machine Empire's ability to ever rise to such prominence again. While the Kothryn were a worrisome bunch they could be more easily contained.

Once the company and techs had their orders Kurayami had retreated to the Trayus Core. Once there he knelt silently in the center of the platform and fell into a long meditation. What glimpses he saw at first were less worrisome as the chaos hadn't erupted quite to the current point, making the wished for paths easier to follow. He simply followed those shatterpoints that seemed to have the best outcomes, and even then these were never guaranteed to happen. All seen were but possibilities. How long he had been in meditation and following from point to point even he couldn't tell, but once the chaos steadily mounted it was not long before he lost track of the wished for path as the possibilities exponentially multiplied in mere moments. It was when he lost track of the needed points that he allowed himself to slip easily and quietly out of meditation. Leaving aboard his Avadon assault shuttle, he set course for Manaan. As the Archangel he needed to make an appearance so that the Knights and others would know he was still alive and well.

As the ship reverted to realspace Kurayami reveled in the sense of feeling the life of the planet after having been on a barren planet for so long. His presence in the Force was not one he attempted to hide as his ship settled without fanfare into the private hangar at the Cathedral. Once disembarked he made sure the ship was properly secured, removing his helmet once this was done to his satisfaction. Upon entering he felt Medrike in deep meditation before he even saw her. He made no fanfare of being home, he took only a swig from a large bottle of namana nectar that was nearby. He made little sound in his Archangel armor as he knelt across from her and continued drinking. He would allow her to start conversation as he did not wish to interrupt her musings.*

As a demon it uses it's power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies
However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns...
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through dark skies
Fear and death trail its shadow beneath
Until men united wield a hallowed sabre
In final reckoning, the beast is slain
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man
His own blood and madness soon cover the earth
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.

Medrike was surprised today, moreso that there was extra ripples in the force. The galaxy was waking up, the threat of the machines was becoming very real. Jedi were finding their own, sith were coming together. New life was breathing into the universe. The force was moving things along, knowing that the war was coming close. She had images of the heartache to come, the screams and cries into the force that would drown out her thoughts as millions died. The force was preparing itself...and so was Medrike. She prepared herself to lose her children, the ones who fought for her, and the ones that called out to her from far away. She heard them all, knew them all, and it broke her heart that their voices would become one with the force one day. She opened her eyes and came out of her trance, and reached for a hairbrush, and started to run it through her golden locks.

"The force runs heavy today my love, it's getting close..." She mused with each stroke of hair, "The Lux sisters were attacked by one of Iron Hail's major Generals, it sounded like nightmare's doing to me, he must have reactivated them. I hope everything is well on your end? We should start preparing defenses here, but I certainly don't want to detract from the tourism with new gun turrets."

*Kurayami smilied gently taking a sip from the bottle as Medrike began brushing her hair and addressed him. She was right, the Force was more chaotic today than it had been for sometime. He had felt the ripples as more of the Machine Empire forces awakened from slumbers that may have lasted aeons, perhaps longer than the memories of most species. Jedi were being found, Sith were beginning to concentrate their forces more. This was a day he had hoped was much farther off than it seemed to be, yet even though the casualties were going to be horrible on all sides, he knew that if Miko succeeded then they would be able to triumph in the end. He was not looking forward to the loss of such an old friend by any means, but he knew that such a sacrifice may be necessary. Such thoughts weighed heavily on him as he simply watched Medrike, the gentle smile never leaving his features.*

Indeed it does, the critical point draws ever closer cyar'ika. It is a time I had thought would come to pass long from now, I was able to push my production forward to the point that I have quite the forces to throw at the Helix Containment units as well as Raxus. I know that the losses will be great on our side, many beloved friends and many of your own children will not return. And yet, such is the sacrifice that must be made. The Machines are closer than ever to tipping the scale of balance against us. For a time I can assure you they will have the upper hand, but I have seen many endings to the coming conflict. Some good, others the Machines are decimated and yet we have few survivors. Few are of the Machines victory. Those that are however...I hate to think of what they would if we do not succeed...yet that is why I do all I can to make sure none of those endings are the final outcome. My confidence in our ragtag group is seen by most as hollow pride, but if I do not show confidence that we can win then what point is there to fight?

*Taking another sip the smile returned as he addressed her other question.*

All is well with me, as I said I simply had to take time to prepare for the offensive. Now as for the defensive portion you speak of there are means with which we can defend without making it overtly obvious, however such projects would take far longer than we may end up having. We may wish to utilize fewer defensive turrets and focus moreso on other means. Give this place enough shielding and hidden armor to withstand a full on hit from anything they can throw at us. We would have to focus such things only on the city, but it could be done.

"I will lose many children in this war, but what about you? You know Ki'ala and Iris will fight as well. Are you prepared for what could happen to them? The more I think on it, the more I grieve for them all. Jedi, Mandalorians, Dynasty, Greys, everything depends on all of us being exactly on board with the plan. One stray child, one person wanting the glory for themselves is all it takes to snowball us into oblivion. It won't be enough for the Jedi to simply find their kin, those kin will need to be ready to fight. At least for a little while," Medrike mused, and raised her hairbrush, hoping Kurayami would come over and help finish brushing her hair.

"We have an extensive aquatic navy, and more shields would be a good start, but I am also worried about the repulsorlift honeycombs. The city could sink in seconds," she sighed.

*He did not want to think about losing either of the women Medrike mentioned, and yet he had known all along it was a distinct possibility. A deep breath was taken before he set the bottle down and moved to stand behind her, taking the brush from her and ran it through her hair as he spoke. a mindless task to keep his mind from seeing that which he hoped not to.*

As much as I do not wish to admit that I am, but I have had no choice. I knew from the moment Iris and I first met you that it was a very real possibility of losing her to battle. Ki'ala...I never meant to get involved with her, but I do care greatly for her. I have lost many loved ones over the years, and for many reasons, knowing how likely it is that either or both of them will perish, I have prepared myself as much as I can for such an outcome. There is no doubt I would mourn their loss deeply, but I have no dearth of time to recover from such a loss.

*Taking another deep breath it was followed by a shuddering exhale, as though he didn't want to admit what he was about to say. A smile graced his features, a hint of sadness visible within the expression.*

However this ends, I know that I shall still have you...and it is in that fact that I find the most comfort. I know that should they not survive that they will have fallen in protection of others, in some instances I have seen them pass in defending you and I. While I do not wish for such things to pass, I at least have one whom I can share immortality with, and it is because of this that I will do what must be done, that I will endure any sacrifice needed.

*When she addressed the plans he set the brush to the side and began running his hands through her hair, she was indeed correct.*

While this is true, plans are always a fragile thing. I do my best to push towards certain shatterpoints but I am not infallible and have had to improvise many times to merely survive. Of course it is possible that our grand plans will be shattered at any moment. Decades of planning and skirmishes could easily be all for naught in the end, But we must maintain confidence that even should the plans as they stand be crushed that we may still prevail. I may appear overconfident, yes. In reality I am simply watching the way things evolve and forming contingencies to the possibilities that arise. Those who do return I am sure have felt the chaos that is threatening to engulf the galaxy and will be prepared for battle. Those who perish, no matter their factional alignment will not have done so in vain. Even should the Protectorate and her allies fall in the end the Machines will not prevail, for as long as any organic life survives they cannot hope to win.I already am prepared to destroy the containment units, in a single strike. The loss of even one would have centuries long effects on the Machines.

*Her mention of the defenses and the repulsors were both very valid points. Still he smiled gently as he pulled the bottle of namana nectar over to himself and offered it to her.*

You are right about the city, however with a bit of planning we could likely set up heavily armored and shielded backup repulsorlifts. Even a tertiary set if absolutely needed in addition to upgrading what is already being utilized. Cyar'ika, the pains of the galaxy are not something you need endure alone any longer. I am here to help shoulder the burden...

"We're at the end of a long road my love," Medrike leaned back, "such a burden we have, and it won't stop. We'll see many more children die after this. I do what I can as a mother with so many of them to look after. What would you like me to do during the battle? I assume far away on a ship?"

That we are...at least at the end of one long road. It is only the start of another however, one that will not be easier or harder, simply...different.

*Kurayami wrapped his arms around Medrike as she leaned back. Were it his choice she wouldn't be at the battle to begin with. He knew that such a thing was needed though, her battle meditation would be far more effective closer to the frontlines.*

It is a burden, but one I chose to share with you. I would have been broken by it had I not saved you those years ago. Yes, many children will die, even after the Machines are worn down. You do more for your children in this galaxy than many would be able to handle. It is no small task, but you also know that your children who die will not do so in vain. They will be remembered as heroes. As for during the battle we will need you as well protected as we can manage, while making sure your battle meditation will still be able to bolster the troops. So yes, onboard a ship would be best. That way if need be you can withdraw should things go too far south.

"Just remember, they are your children too, bring as many back home as you can," she sighed in his arms. She tucked her head under his chin, she was not upset that he had been gone so long. Time was of no consequence to either of them. She picked up where they left off, as if he just went to a store and came back. "We'll kill them all..."

I would never willingly leave any behind if it could be avoided. Even before I found myself in our current situation, bringing home as many as possible was part of the plan. I have had my family torn apart before and do not wish for others to go through the same and knowing that they shall saddens me, yet it is the inevitability of war that not everyone makes it back.

*He let himself relax as she tucked her head under his chin and sighed while he held her. Her dedication to completely eliminating the Machines was admirable, and yet the Machines were here long before they were, he was sure they had some sort of contingency to remain even if all their leaders were wiped out. His plan did not hinge on the utter annihilation of all Machines only their leadership and severely reducing their production capacity.*

I know that their leadership will fall completely, and do plan to destroy what infrastructure we know of. I feel that we will not be able to completely eradicate them, but they not have enough power to cause anything beyond a minor disturbance once the war is over. Rest easy my love, you have been busy attending to the needs of our children. Those who fight and die as citizens of the Protectorate and now the Dynasty. All is unfolding as it was meant to.

"We're finally at this moment, eons in the making, about to accomplish what the very creators of the universe could not. The most powerful and angry entity in the known galaxy is about to be brought down, and his reign of reckless death will end. There's no telling what will happen once the slate is wiped clean, but there will be a vacuum for sure. What about hunting down the sith that followed Iron Hail, or even continue his mission after they discover who he really is? They'd be using sticks and rocks, but Nereus raised hell with less. I hope things will settle for awhile, and will give our great children a chance to rest, and grieve. I expect we'll take a great hit, but our resilience will win out. The Dynasty brought together the whole galaxy to fight a great tormentor. A titan of malice. Whatever happens after this, it will change much in the galaxy. It will never be the same, everyone will remember his name, and know what it took to bring him down. The Dynasty is now in a position to do what it was meant to, all the countless eons in preparation for this fight. A shame I had to knock Raul down, but he did not lead in the right direction. With the sisters at the helm, the Dynasty will endure for a thousand years, and you and I will sit here and smile at our accomplishments," she leaned up and pecked his chin.
